Statewide Interest:
This segment is approaching capacity limits of the existing level of service standards. Improvements are needed to provide better mobility, meet demands; continue economic stimulation, reduce time, money, and environmental impacts (ozone) due to delays and congestion. This roadways support alternative means of access before, during, and after natural disasters. Olive Roads offers relief as a secondary corridor to relieve congestion to primary roadway segments. The corridor management program supported by the local TPO and provide safety at a reduce cost, by adding turn lanes, sidewalks and bike lanes.

Project Description:
The existing two-lane segments extend between the Davis Highway (SR 291) and Scenic Highway (US 90) The funding will allow the completion required study and analysis to determine location feasibility for left turn lanes, sidewalk location, and adding bike lanes. This project services two local schools and can promote walking from the area neighborhoods.
