Project Description: |
Since 1999 over 5000 children and families have found hope, help and healing at Kids House of Seminole. Through investigation, child advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, therapy, training, education and prevention we are working to break the cycle of violence so often seen with incidents of child abuse and neglect. Focusing attention on the needs of abuse victims and ensuring they receive the investigative, advocacy and mental health services needed for true healing to take place will allow children to overcome their personal trauma to lead fulfilling lives. Training, prevention and education will ensure children and families at risk of entering the states child protective system receive the assistance and tools necessary to make responsible and safe decisions. |
