| This project facilitates the safe and efficient movement of aircraft and passengers at one of the State's primary airports, serving not only the Florida Aviation System, but the national aviation system as well. By the construction of these high speed exit taxiways, runway occupancy time for aircraft is reduced allowing more capacity. The loop taxiway facilitates smoother flow into terminal gates and enhances safety and speeds up aircraft taxiing to runways. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is a capacity constrained airport and, therefore, has impact to the entire national air traffic system. Any minor improvements have positive effects on the air traffic system nationwide. |

| Construction of high-speed taxiways on north side of runway 9L/27R to allow efficient aircraft take-offs and landings. Construction of a loop taxiway, if feasible, at east end of runway 9L/27R to facilitate aircraft flow into and out of terminal concourses. |
