| Project Description: |
| In 1997 the Dept. of Juvenile Justice requested that Outward Bound assume operation of a 30 bed low-risk wilderness commitment program for males, with a commitment from DJJ that a permanent facility would be contrasted at the site. In fact, an area at the location was clear for the purposes of constructing the buildings for the program. The program was later increased to 35 beds. The Esc. River Ooutward Bound (EROB) program was housed in a series of temporary mobile/modular structure pending the construction of the permanent facility within the first few years. Eight years later the EROB program is still housed in these temporary quarters. |
