| Too many young ladies are getting pregnant and an increasing number of teenagers are winding up with sexually transmitted diseases. When this occurs, some of these children drop out of school and become dependent on the state to support themselves and their children. This program will help reduce the number of young women and their children who become dependent on the services of the State, namely the Department of Children and Family. This program also serves as college preparation program. These students are given help with college application process along with the benefits of remaining abstinent. |

| Project Description: |
| Weekly courses are held to educate young children on the benefits of abstinence. The discussions ranged from STDs and HIV/AIDS to teen parenting. The participants are also educated on the many advantages of remaining abstinent. Their involvement with this program also includes tutoring, academic support, and college preparation. Of the 75 participants from last year, none became pregnant and apporximately 80% are currently enrolled in an instituion of higher education |
