| The state of Florida will be served by assisting in the physical and safety improvements to Hillsborough Avenue, a state road, and the revitalization of the corridor which requires community investment in public infrastructure. Funding for this project would improve public safety, enhance the resident's quality of life and help stimulate the economic revitalization of the business district along the roadway. Businesses have committed concurrent investment in their commercial properties, thereby generating additional property and sales tax revenues |

| Project Description: |
| This project would further the goals and strategies of the Town 'N Country Community Plan. The plan identifies a vision that seeks "to see a reduction in traffic congestion, an increase in transit service and will take steps to improve the appearance and safety of our primary roads." The residents consider Hillsborough Avenue (SR 580) as their "main street" and "gateway" to the community. The project would provide intersection beautification improvements, traffic calming opportunities, landscaping and other beautification measures, street lighting, sidewalks and bicycle paths. |

There will also be an increase in property and sales tax income generated from expanded business investment along the corridor. |
