The Tampa Bay Prefroming Arts Center, the largest performing arts center in the Southeast, is a major economic driver for Hillsborough County, the Tampa Bay region, and the state. Annually, more than 700 performances are attended by over 600,000 Floridians and cultural tourists. Each year, more than 40 different arts education programs serve over 60,000 K-12 school children, college/university students, adults and families, providing training and programming not otherwise available. Annual economic impact: $93 million.

Project Description:
Request is for a $240,000 Cultural Endowment Matching Share that will help provide investment income to sustaining and growing programming. The endowment fund income is used to help fund the Center's vital arts and education and outreach programs, which serve up to 60,000 students of all ages each year. These programs are provided at the newly opened Patel Conservatory and at inner city and rural sites, including community centers, schools, hospitals and migrant venues.
