This project addresses health and safety issues locally and regionally. This project will address the problem of effluent discharging into the Intracoastal Waterway and having a detrimental effect on the environment. Additionally, raw sewage has spilled into the streets on numerous occasions and this problem will also be addressed by this project. These issues have been documented by Flagler County and the Florida Dept. of Health.

Project Description:
This project will repair sub-standard lift stations; reconstruct wastewater treatment plant, upgrade wastewater lines to proper size, replace/rehab boosters and pump systems, map and identify system components.

Effluent will meet requirements for discharge into a Class III waterway, elimination of raw sewage spills, and accurate information on system components to aid in assessing ongoing maintenance and repair needs.

This project will correct the State and Federal violations of the system including exceeding limits of CBOD5, TSS, TRC and excess toxicity currently threatening the Northern Coastal Basin.
