Project Description:
This is a continuation of our Stormwater project to reduce flooding and discharge of waters into Biscayne Bay. The Town approved in 2002, a six phase project and to date we have completed Phase 1, portion of Phase 3, portion of Phase 4, and have completed the engineering design aspect of the remaining portion of Phase 3 and a portion of Phase 2. The prioritizing of the project phases were determined by the most severe flooding areas of the Town being addressed first.

Describe, specifically, how it will reduce loadings, identify anticipated load reductions for total suspended solids, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and other contaminants, and specify the practices that will be used to reduce loadings:
The use of vortex separating devices will remove 80-90% of total suspended solids and trapped oil and debris. Other practices to reduce pollutant loading will be through system maintenance, street sweeping, and public outreach via NPDES program.
