| This fire station and helipad will be in close proximity to I-75 and will serve to quickly mitigate traffic accidents and fires thus assisting with continuity of interstate commerce. The helipad will provide a safe landing zone off the interstate for medical trauma helicopters thus allowing for quick restoration of traffic flow. The helipad will also be available for landings by State agencies such as FDOT or Highway Patrol. |

| Fire Rescue and Paramedic Ambulance Station construction with a heliport to serve the Interstate 75 corridor and adjacent City of North Port. |

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| We believe by locating this permanent facility equipped with an emergency helistop we can aid the continuity of interstate transportation.
Vehicle accidents, vehicle fires, brush fires, and hazardous materials spills can be more quickly and efficiently mitigated. Most notable will be rapid treatment and transport of trauma patients to a secure helipad away from the interstate thus eliminating the need to completely shut down Interstate 75 for helicopter landings.
The helipad will also be available to State agencies such as FDOT and Highway Patrol. |
