Statewide Interest:
It will provide daily programming of vocational and academic skills training, Supported Employment, and transportation services for low income adults with developmental disabilities, who are not eligible to receive these services through the Medicaid Waiver Program. Services to the Developmentally Challenged population is one of the priorities identified in the State Plan for 2007.

Project Description:
Adults with developmental disabilities who are not eligible to obtain services through Medicaid Waiver. All participants have been identified. Services will include 5 days a week of Adult Day Training (i.e. survival skills, functional academics, vocational skills, case management)and Supported Employment Services (i.e., employability skills training, job placement, job coaching, and follow along services)& Transportation.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
To provide Adult Day Training and Supported Employment Services, Non-Residential Support Services, and transportation to participants with developmental disabilities providing them the opportunity of independence and empowering their caregiver (i.e. mother or sibling) to seek employment, generating a savings to the State.
