Project Description:
The City of Dunedin is providing the infrastructure for a new Gateway complex. The 4.1-acre tract, located between Main Street and Skinner Boulevard, will ultimately consist of a mix-use complex of retail, residential and office space. Part of a CRA, this project will act as a catalyst for additional redevelopment efforts. The City's Gateway project includes a new road, underground utilities, parking, landscaping and streetscaping.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The City's infrastructure project is a catalyst for a $35 million multi-use complex. The Gateway project will result in the construction of 40,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 40,000 sq. ft. for office use and 40 residential rental units. Construction of the Gateway complex will require the equivalent of 639 full-time employees. The construction of this project will also create an additional $23 million in personal income and $30 million in Gross County Product. When complete, the complex will produce an estimated 206 direct jobs combining to generate $8 million annually. The total jobs and ouput of the facility would contribute an average of $11.3 million to the Gross County Product each year.
