Statewide Interest: |
The statewide interest addressed is reduction to recidivism rates by implementing a replicable Civic Justice Corps model to provide opportunities for 100 court involved and formerly incarcerated young people in Miami-Dade County, aged 16-24, to serve and be accountable to themselves and their community, gain technical and life skills, earn educational credentials and receive the support services necessary for successful reintegration. This project would serve as the catalyst for Florida to be at the forefront in providing transition services to young people exiting incarceration. |
