| South Highlands County has been identified as an area of critical concern for Hurricane Shelters. This building will serve as a community cultural center as well as a hurricane shelter during a state of emergency for residents in Southern Highlands County and evacuees from our coastal areas. Highlands County is a "host" county and does not have a wind compliant shelter in the Lake Placid area. |
