The State has a vested interest in having County and Local EOC�s. shelters and medical facilities operating during and after an emergency event when normal power sources are not operating. REGIONAL: County residents will all be served by installing permanent standby power to the Broward County EOC assuring ongoing operations of a COUNTY Emergency Operations Center during and after an event that terminates normal power sources, LOCAL: Installing permanent standby power to two (2) major hospitals, a public shelter, the City�s Emergency Operations Center and two (2) other schools allow ongoing operations of emergency shelters to house displaced residents, medical facilities to treat the sick and injured and continued operations of City emergency operations and services |

Installation of permanent emergency standby power source at seven (7) critical sewage lift stations that would allow continued use of these critical facilities in case of power failure. Seven locations include two hospitals, County EOC/Courthouse/Library, a public shelter, City of Plantation�s EOC, and two other school locations (possible shelters)
