This project supports a regional approach to water and wastewater services as proposed by Gadsden County, which includes the City of Quincy, FL. It will provide for a city-county, coordinated approach for the installation of critical water and wastewater infrastructure including the collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater. This project will decrease the need for septic tanks and provide for the phase-out existing septic tanks and additional water lines to areas that are not currently serviced. This project will protect the water and public health of the the City of Quincy and Gadsden County residents and adjacent waters. This project is in a Rural area of Critical Economic Concern.

Project Description:
This project will include the City of Quincy in the Gadsden County plan and allows for the City of Quincy's participation in a coordinated city-county construction of critical potable water lines and wastewater infrastructure including the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater.

Establishes a regional Water and Wastewater plan and a designed system that guides growth and maximizes service centers and ensures adequate infrastructure capacity in the City of Quincy and the regional area of Gadsden county.
