Statewide Interest:
The use of reclaimed water will promote water conservation through implementation of reuse of reclaimed water. The Florida Legislature has established "the encouragement oand promotion of the reuse of reclaimed water and water conservation...." as a formal state objective in the Florida Statues. The reuse of reclaimed water as proposed by the City of Quincy will optimize the region's water resources by benefically utilizing reclaimed water for three potential large reclaimed water customers. This project is in a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern.

Project Description:
The reclaimed water for reuse when in operation will serve three major water consumption customers. Each of these potential customers currently uses groundwater and/or surface water withdrawal to meet their process needs. The City has conducted a feasibility study for these potential customers and have established a need, the next phase is the design and construction of a reclaimed water pumping station and transmission main to transport the reclaimed water to the customers
