Project Description: |
A program of direct business assistance which responds to the needs of the small and minority business community, throughout the State of Florida. This program links these to their counterparts in the international, through CAMACOL�s Hemispheric Congress of Latin Chambers of Commerce and Industry a program with a 29-year track record with a unique and global infrastructure. The program also thoroughly promotes Florida as the Gateway State and the Gateway of the Americas, and conduct systematic outreach efforts through traditional and non-traditional sources. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
Development of contacts to at least 800 companies; To participate in and or offer seminars/workshops targeted to the small and minority exporter; To recruit small and minority and to underwrite companies, on a statewide effort to participate in the activities of the 30th Hemispheric Congress, CAMACOL Americas Showcase Exhibitions, and its collateral events including the Showcase of the Americas Pavilion with the Exposition of Florida Export Products; To enter into cooperative agreements with Economic Development Organizations both in Florida and abroad which will facilitate the implementation and establishment of business linkages and promote Florida as the Gateway of the Americas; To provide technical support on a daily basis and provide direct business contacts to small and minority Florida companies/individuals, on a wide variety of subjects in accordance with our work program. Activities will include: specific trade information, business opportunities and trade leads, referrals, technical support, and other services; To foster support for the development of technologies and biotechnologies, and in the areas of Ethanol development and biofuels development as well and to conduct activities. |
