Project Description:
Purchase computers for computer labs with internet accessibility for our after-school education program at three sites and our youth teen center. Capital improvements to construct our 1500 square foot climate controlled storage room into youth teen center to serve disadvantaged at-risk youth. The project will provide home work assistance, FCAT preparation through individualized tutoring related to core course work, mentoring, safety and crime prevention programs delivered by Police Officers and highly trained civilians, workforce development, job skills training, job shadowing opportunities and employment assistance. The project will also provide one on one specialized tutoring for youth with reading levels below standard or who maybe suffering from Dyslexia.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Increase promotion rate, improve FCAT Scores, improve reading levels of youth diagnosed with Dyslexia or with low reading scores, reduce crime, provide workforce development training, job skills training, job shadowing opportunities, and employment assistance.
