Statewide Interest: |
The Marco Island YMCA Expansion will provide a facility with a greater capacity to serve children to seniors through a 34000 square feet expansion. As a national organization and this club being directly involved with the Florida State Alliance of YMCAs, it is the mission of the organization to "Activate America" in the fight for better health and fitness, as well as addressing the spectrum of family, youth and teens issues of society. The greatest of these is adult and youth obesity. The YMCA facilities offer the tool to bring people together and offer programs that address these statewide issues. The YMCA strengthens the community and the state of Florida by offering services to promote a healthy lifestyle, stronger children, and a safe environment. |
