City was cited as a Tier II due to Total Coliform MCL Exceedance by DEP; additionally adequate fire flow to all residents is a major concern. Williston is in a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern, and a REDI designated city.

Project Description:
(1) Preconstruction engineering design for water system improvements to include distribution, storage and treatment to ensure that the system meets standards required to provide adequate fire flow to all residents; (2) Planning documents for growth and maintenance of the City's water system; and (3) Improved water distribution system in the economically depressed part of the City by providing better fire flows which will result in lower insurance rates for the City. Additionally in the approved Request for Inclusion the City was cited as a Tier II area due to Total Coliform MCL Exceedance. NOTE: Williston has been designated as a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
An upgrade of existing water distribution system to include new wellhead site, a new production well, a water treatment plant, an elevate storage tank and general improvements and numerous upgrades in East Williston which include better fire protection for the community.
