Project Description:
The project will design, construct and evaluate turn-key recirculating systems for marine fish and marine larval feeds production. In Year 2, this project will address the following objectives: - Evaluate and improve the efficiency of large-scale marine fish larval and nursery recirculating filtration systems, - Evaluate and improve the efficiency of live feeds recirculating filtration systems, - Design, construct and test the operational capabilities of marine fish fingerling and growout recirculating filtration systems, - Identify containment, utilization, and breakdown strategies for the salty sludge produced through filtration, - Document recirculating filtration system costs, and - Disseminate project results.
