| Project Description: |
| The City of Wauchula, like the rest of Hardee County, is a part of a State of Florida designated "Area of Critical Economic Concern". Among the various factors suppressing the City's opportunity for economic recovery from the devastating impact of the 2004/2005 hurricane seasons is the need for rehabilitation of the city's Electric Substation. The entire substation will be upgraded to establish a stable and reliable source of electricity for the residents. The facility will also be hardened against future storm damage. The Electric Utility is the City's primary source of revenue. |
