Project Description: |
This project involves implementation of Fort Myers' proposed new East Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) on a site east of I-75 along Lee Boulevard. The East WRF will be initially constructed as an 8 million gallon per day (MGD) facility, expandable to 12 MGD, for build out for the City, and designed to accommodate up to 24 MGD for the southwest regional area benefit. This facility will accommodate a reduction in wastewater flows currently treated at the City's existing wastewater treatment plants, as well as serve the needs of future growth in the City's eastern service area. The project also includes implementation of a community park. |
