Interpretation of knowledge and notice.
1620.57 Interpretation of knowledge and notice.--In this part:
(1) A person has knowledge of a fact not only when the person has actual knowledge of it, but also when he or she has knowledge of such other facts as in the circumstances show bad faith.
(2) A person has notice of a fact when another person claiming the benefit of the notice:
(a) States the fact to the person, or
(b) Delivers through the mail or by other means of communication a written statement of the fact to the person or to the person's agent at his or her place of business or residence.
