Traffic control within state forest or division-assigned lands.
589.071 Traffic control within state forest or division-assigned lands.--The Division of Forestry on behalf of the state may adopt rules to control ingress, egress, and all other movement of motor vehicles, bicycles, horses, and pedestrians, as well as all other types of traffic, within a state forest or any lands leased by or otherwise assigned to the division for management purposes, outside of the designated right-of-way of state or county-maintained roads, and may designate special areas off the roadways for the operation of recreational type vehicles which need not be licensed or operated by licensed drivers. Any person violating or otherwise failing to comply with any of the provisions of this section or rules adopted pursuant hereto is guilty of a noncriminal violation as defined in s. 775.08(3), punishable only by fine not to exceed $500. Jurisdiction shall be with the appropriate county court.
