Section 589.30, Florida Statutes 2000

589.30  Duty of district forester.--It shall be the duty of the district forester to direct all work in accordance with the law and regulations of the Division of Forestry; gather and disseminate information in the management of commercial timber, including establishment, protection and utilization; and assist in the development and use of forest lands for outdoor recreation, watershed protection, and wildlife habitat. The district forester or his or her representative shall provide encouragement and technical assistance to individuals and urban and county officials in the planning, establishment, and management of trees and plant associations to enhance the beauty of the urban and suburban environment and meet outdoor recreational needs.
