Definitions relating to Statewide Multipurpose Hazardous Waste Facility Siting Act.
403.782 Definitions relating to Statewide Multipurpose Hazardous Waste Facility Siting Act.--As used in ss. 403.78-403.7893:
(1) "Agency," as the context requires, means an official, officer, commission, authority, council, committee, department, division, bureau, board, section, or other unit or entity of government within the state, including a county, municipality, or other regional or local governmental entity.
(2) "Amendment" means a material change in information provided in the application for certification made after the initial application filing.
(3) "Applicant" means any person proposing to construct and operate a statewide multipurpose hazardous waste facility and who files an application for certification.
(4) "Application" means the documents required by ss. 403.78-403.7893 to be filed to initiate a certification proceeding.
(5) "Board" means the Governor and Cabinet sitting as the siting board.
(6) "Certification" means the written order of the board approving an application in whole or with such modifications or conditions as the board may deem appropriate.
(7) "Federally delegated or approved permit program" means any environmental regulatory program delegated or approved by an agency of the Federal Government so as to authorize the department to administer the program and issue licenses.
(8) "Local government" means a municipality, county, or special district in the jurisdiction of which the project is proposed to be located.
(9) "Statewide multipurpose hazardous waste facility" means a hazardous waste management facility which stores, treats, or disposes of hazardous waste.
(10) "Project" means any proposed statewide multipurpose hazardous waste facility.
