157.31  Notice of reassessment for drainage.--In all such cases, the board of county commissioners, upon the matter being brought to its attention, shall cause to be published in some newspaper published in the county, at least once each week for 2 consecutive weeks, a notice substantially in the following form:

Whereas, it has been discovered that the proceedings to establish a public ditch, drain or canal, commencing at _____ and running in a general _____ course through the following lands, viz. _____ were defective, and the assessment in pursuance thereof made was invalid, or irregular and not made in compliance with law, now, therefore, notice is hereby given to all persons interested, that the County Commissioners of _____ County, will be in session at _____ o'clock in the forenoon, at the courthouse, on the _____ day of _____,  (year) , for the purpose of providing for a reassessment of the property specially benefited by the said public ditch, drain or canal, and all persons interested are hereby notified to attend on the said day, and present objections, if any, to the said reassessment, and are further notified that the board will give a hearing to all parties interested, and act on the said matter at the said meeting.
