Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative; fees and administrative expense.
—Provider agencies are responsible for the collection of fees for services in accordance with rules adopted by the department. Provider agencies shall assess fees for services rendered in accordance with those rules. To help pay for services received pursuant to the Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, a functionally impaired elderly person shall be assessed a fee based on an overall ability to pay. The fee to be assessed shall be fixed according to a schedule to be established by the department. Services of specified value may be accepted in lieu of a fee. The fee schedule shall be developed in cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Disease Advisory Committee, area agencies on aging, and service providers.
