Advance collection of fees and taxes; title insurers not to pay without reimbursement.
—The department or the office shall collect in advance from the applicant or licensee fees and taxes as provided in s. 624.501.
A title insurer shall not pay directly or indirectly without reimbursement from a title insurance agent any appointment fee required under this section. The failure of a title insurance agent to make reimbursement is not a ground for cancellation of the title insurance agent’s appointment by the title insurer.
