The Committee on Ways and Means (Clary) recommended the following 
amendment:

Section: 06              EXPLANATION:

On Page: 256             Provides up to $200,000 from the Professional
                         Regulation Trust Fund in the Department of Business and
Spec App: 2206           Professional Regulation for educating and informing the
                         public about licensing requirements for the public
                         accounting profession.

At the end of existing proviso language, following Specific 
Appropriation 2206, INSERT:

From the funds in Specific Appropriation 2206, up to $200,000 from the
Professional Regulation Trust Fund is provided to the Department of
Business and Professional Regulation to institute an unlicensed activity
campaign for the purpose of informing and educating the public:  (1)
that public accounting is a regulated profession with requirements of
licensure pursuant to Chapter 473, Florida Statutes; (2) that some
services provided by unlicensed individuals, although legal, are
regulated when provided by a licensed Florida Certified Public
Accountant; and (3) that certain services may only be performed by a
licensed Florida Certified Public Accountant.  The department shall
develop the campaign in consultation with a corporation registered under
Chapter 617, Florida Statutes, as a not-for-profit corporation and
registered under the Internal Revenue Service Code as a 501 (c)(6)

corporation and which represents the largest number of licensed Florida
Certified Public Accountants.  Any advertising, media or materials
produced as a result of contributions shall carry acknowledgements of
joint production and sponsorship.  The department may not allocate
overhead charges to these unlicensed activity campaign funds.

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
