GENERAL BILL

Legal Assistance for Accused Persons; amends provision re determination of indigency of accused person & reenacts certain provisions to incorporate said amendment; specifies purposes for such determination; provides for payment to clerk of court of application fee of up to $40 in connection with affidavit asserting indigency; provides for mandatory assessment against certain defendants of attorney's fees & costs for public defender assistance, etc. Amends 27.52,.56, 215.22; reenacts FS.
