Screening for Infants' Hearing; provides for universal screening of hearing of newborns; requires hospitals, birthing centers, & health care providers at home births to refer newborns to licensed audiologists for screening; requires hearing screening & followup to be procedures covered by health insurance, by HMOs, & by Medicaid; requires followup referral of hearing-impaired infants to Children's Medical Services Early Intervention Program, etc.
