SB 210: Speedy Trial Reform
GENERAL BILL by Rossin
Speedy Trial Reform; allows Fla. Supreme Court discretion in adopting rules that provide for right of defendant to speedy trial; prohibits court from discharging defendant from prosecution unless court finds substantive violation of defendant's right to speedy trial; deletes provisions that provide for dismissal with prejudice if adjudicatory hearing for juvenile offender is not held within specified time, etc. Amends 918.015, 985.218.
Effective Date: 10/01/1998 except as otherwise provided
