SB 212: Bad Check Charges
GENERAL BILL by Meadows
Bad Check Charges; provides for damages, court costs, & attorney's fees re certain civil actions to recover fines due on stop payments on checks, drafts, or orders of payment; revises provisions re service fee for dishonored checks; amends provision re prima facie evidence of identity re prosecution of bad check charges to remove race as required element of establishing identity of person presenting check. Amends 68.065, 166.251, 832.07.
