CS/SB 1006: School Instructional Materials

GENERAL BILL by Education ; Education

School Instructional Materials; defines term "adequate instructional materials" to mean providing each student with textbook or certain other materials; changes reference from DOE to Education Commissioner re certain duties in selecting & adopting instructional materials; requires superintendent to requisition certain materials; requires school districts to purchase said materials in core courses of subject areas within specified time, etc. Amends Ch. 233, 230.23.
