HB 1723: Florida Building Code

GENERAL BILL by Constantine

Florida Building Code; provides for continuing validation of certifications of certain building inspectors & plans examiners for certain period of time; recognizes that rule adopting Fla. Building Code may not become final by 2000 Legislative Session if challenged pursuant to specific provision; clarifies effect on local govts. of adopting & updating said code; requires State Fire Marshal's Office to cause review of certain code for educational facilities, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $80,000.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
