GENERAL BILL by Elder Affairs & Long-Term Care ; Reddick
Mental Health; directs CFS Dept. to develop cooperative agreements with local agencies for diverting from criminal justice system to civil mental health system certain persons with mental illness arrested for misdemeanor; directs Louis de la Parte Fla. Mental Health Institute at USF to report to Legislature on cost-effective diversion strategies; directs FDLE & CFS Dept. to jointly review training curricula for law enforcement officers, etc. APPROPRIATION: $100,000.
