SB 1998: Driver's Licenses/State ID Cards
GENERAL BILL by Cowin
Driver's Licenses/State ID Cards; provides that personal information provided by HSMV for use in surveys, marketing, or solicitations may not include social security numbers; repeals provisions re photographs & other information on driver's licenses & state ID cards; deletes provisions authorizing HSMV to sell copies of photographs & other information on file for use in preventing fraud in certain financial transactions, etc. Amends 119.07; repeals 322.142(5),(6).
