CS/CS/SB 2054: Capital Collateral Representation
GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Criminal Justice ; Burt
Capital Collateral Representation; requires private counsel appointments to be in accordance with specified provisions; requires notification of trial court if appointed attorney fails to execute contract within specified period; authorizes attorney appointed to represent defendant in postconviction capital collateral proceeding to designate another attorney to assist in representation; revises provisions governing award of attorney's fees, etc. Amends Ch. 27.
