HB 219: Florida Building Code
GENERAL BILL by Constantine ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Villalobos ; Garcia ; Trovillion ; Miller ; Lynn ; Bradley ; Crist ; Alexander ; Murman ; Byrd ; Bloom ; Cantens
Florida Building Code; prohibits Fla. Building Commission from granting waiver or variance from code requirements; provides for alternative means for compliance & enforcement; authorizes counties to enforce & amend said code; eliminates authority of Educ. Commissioner to adopt uniform statewide building code for public educational & ancillary facilities; deletes requirement that DMS approve design & construction plans for state agency buildings, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $35,000.
