HB 959: Indigent Health Care

GENERAL BILL by Crady

Indigent Health Care; provides for excluding active-duty military personnel & certain institutionalized county residents from state population estimates when calculating county's financial responsibility for hospitals' treatment of specific counties' indigent residents; expands authorized use of indigent care discretionary sales surtax to include trauma centers; renames surtax, etc. Amends 154.306, 212.055.

Effective Date: 07/01/2000 except as otherwise provided
