SB 1142: Emergency Telephone System
GENERAL BILL by Constantine
Emergency Telephone System; transfers state control over Fla. Emergency Telephone Act & Wireless Emergency Communications Act from DMS to State Technology Office; provides for "911" fee to be used by certain counties to fund pilot project for nonemergency system; authorizes State Treasurer to invest moneys in Wireless Emergency Telephone System Fund; removes requirements that funds be held in escrow, etc. Amends 365.171,.172,.173,.174.
