CS/HB 1361: Charter Schools
GENERAL BILL by Education Innovation ; Arza ; Atwater ; Kallinger ; Bowen ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Fiorentino ; Harrell
Charter Schools; prohibits public school from using word "charter" in its name unless it is currently operating under charter that has been granted pursuant to certain provisions; requires public school to have been in operation for at least 2 years prior to application to convert to charter school status; requires charter school governing board to adopt operating budget; requires DOE to distribute capital outlay funds on monthly basis, etc. Amends FS.
