Technology Development; creates "Florida Technology Development Act"; creates Emerging Technology Commission & provides for membership, powers, & duties; requires commission to develop & approve criteria for evaluating proposals re creation of centers of excellence; requires commission to solicit such proposals from state universities; requires commission to submit recommended plans to State Board of Education for establishing centers of excellence, etc. Creates 240.72. APPROPRIATION: $50,050,000.
