CS/CS/SB 1312: Phosphate Mining
GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Natural Resources ; Alexander ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dockery
Phosphate Mining; amends tax on phosphate rock & provides for distribution of proceeds; directs DEP to amend master reclamation plan; creates not-for-profit partnership to assist in phosphate reclamation; provides authority for variance for certain reclamation activities; allows variances for water supply development; provides limited liability for entities assisting in abatement of imminent hazards; requires DEP to conduct study, etc. Amends Chs. 378, 403, 211.3103. APPROPRIATION: $1,000,000.
