HB 971: Medical Negligence
GENERAL BILL by Mahon
Medical Negligence; provides criteria for expert witness giving certain testimony; prohibits certain policies which discourage providing expert testimony as against public policy; increases automatic extension of statute of limitations in certain medical negligence cases; provides additional requirements re notice before filing action for medical malpractice; provides for mandatory mediation, etc. Amends Ch. 766.
Effective Date: 07/01/2003 except as otherwise provided
