CS/SB 2632: Juvenile Supervision/Detention/Costs

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations Subcommittee on Criminal Justice ; Crist

Juvenile Supervision/Detention/Costs; authorizes court to order parent or guardian of child taken into custody by, or placed under supervision of, Juvenile Justice Dept. to pay for cost of supervision or detention; specifies daily fees for supervising & caring for child; requires court to reduce or waive fees upon finding of indigency & significant financial hardship; authorizes dept. to employ collection agency to collect & manage payment of delinquent fees, etc. Amends Ch. 985.
