SB 1362: Term Limits/Constitutional Officers

JOINT RESOLUTION by Clary

Term Limits/Constitutional Officers; (THIS BILL COMBINED IN CS/S1210 & 1362) constitutional amendment to increase, from 8 to 12, number of consecutive years state legislator or any Cabinet officer may serve in that office before being denied right to have his or her name appear on ballot for re-election to that office; provides that amendment applies to those officers whose consecutive years in office begin in November 2006 or thereafter, etc. Amends s. 4, Art. VI; creates s. 26, Art. XII.
